Milia Removal

Milia are small cysts appearing as tiny pearly-white bumps just under the surface of the skin. They are usually found on the face and especially around the eyes.

Although harmless, Milia can be unsightly and it is common for people to want them removed. Do not try to remove these at home as you could cause permanent damage to your skin.

At Delta Dermatology we are able to safely and painlessly remove your Milia. We will start by applying a topical anesthetic for comfort. Then a sterile needle and a diathermy is used to gently break the wall of the lesion and the contents are removed. A topical retinoid may be prescribed to prevent the re-occurrence. Depending on the number of Milia that you have you may require multiple sessions for complete removal.
